A lunch by fire and sword
A unique lunch organized in 2016 at Grupo Desportivo da Mouraria, Ferro & Fogo was the country’s first event that gathered the most renowned chefs of the country around the embers – a pioneer concept that launched the motto for many other events of this type in later years.
Conducted by Manuel Maldonado, one of the first Portuguese chefs to make fire the star of the show, the lunch counted with many other top cooks, namely João Rodrigues, Leopoldo Calhau, Ljubomir Stanisic, Pedro Pena bastos, Tiago Bonito, Milton Anes and Henrique Sá Pessoa, as well as influent people of the field, such as Rui and Margarida Sanches, and Andrea Petrini.
